The G21 Region relates to the land area governed by the five participating municipal shire councils.
These councils are:
* Borough of Queenscliffe
* City of Greater Geelong
* Colac Otway Shire
* Golden Plains Shire
* Surf Coast Shire
Profile of the Geelong Region
The following Regional Profile was developed in September 2002. It was a collaborative project between the Committee for Geelong, Geelong Area Consultative Committee and the City of Greater Geelong.
The purpose of the document is threefold:
- to define the Geelong region in terms of its people, its industries, its capabilities and its livability;
- to provide the reader with a snap shot of the region, inclduing comparisons of its national status;
- to provide a pointer to souce data for future research and trending analysis.
