Arts & Culture Pillar
The G21 Arts & Culture Pillar’s vision is to foster artistic creativity, cultural leadership and involvement, as well as recognition and utilisation of heritage assets. It does this by supporting regional efforts to:
- Promote culture for all by engaging the community
- Develop artists, ideas and knowledge
- Build creative industries
- Acknowledge, celebrate and create places and spaces
- Promote cultural leadership.
Priority Projects
The G21 Board has endorsed the following Arts & Culture project as a ‘G21 Priority Project’:

An arts and cultural precinct comprising a new Library and Heritage Centre, expanded GPAC and Geelong Gallery and renovation of the Old Courthouse Building.
Pillar Projects
The G21 Arts & Culture Pillar projects support the objectives of ‘The G21 Geelong Region Plan – A sustainable growth strategy’ and are owned and delivered by a variety of regional organisations.
