Coastal Bus Service Launched

The new Queenscliff to Jan Juc trial bus service is funded through the Victorian Government's Transport Connections program and will operate from December 19, 2009 until January 31, 2010. It will depart three times a day from Queencliff and Jan Juc and travels through Point Lonsdale, Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads and Torquay. The service connects with the Drysdale bus service, which services Portarlington, Indented Head and St Leonards and also connects to V/Line services along the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay.

The service is one of many improvements delivered through the Transport Connections program, which was supported by the evidence and recommendations of the G21 Integrated Public Transport Strategy (2007). The G21 Transport Pillar recently announced their intention to develop a new G21 Public Transport Plan early in 2010.
