Are you the new CEO of G21?

As reported in the last edition of Snapshots, Andrew Scott has announced that he will not be extending his contract at the end of his successful three year term as CEO of G21 in June. As a result, the hunt is now on to find a dynamic new CEO for G21.

In an effort to find the best possible person for this important regional leadership position, we’re running local and national recruitment campaigns. In addition to press and online advertising, we’re asking our significant network of Geelong region leaders to let us know if they can recommend someone who would excel in the role.

A national advertising campaign to attract applications from across the nation began on February 6 and will run through to February 19. We’re looking for candidates that are suitably qualified and experienced to build on Andrew Scott's significant achievements in the Chief Executive Officer role over the past three years.

The person we’re looking for will have exceptional drive, ambition and vision to foster sustainable growth and manage change throughout the Geelong Region. They will be responsible for building on the existing strategic aims of G21 in order to fulfil the region’s economic, social and environmental vision and values. They must also have the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders, have strong interpersonal and community consultation skills, the capacity to develop and implement strategic plans and demonstrated experience in achieving the funding of major community projects.

If you, or someone you know could excel in this important regional leadership position, we encourage you to click here to seek further information.
The G21 Board hope to announce the appointment of the new CEO in April.
