G21 has received notification from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to indicate that they will be undertaking a review of the Primary Care Partnership (PCP) program. The current funding and service agreement with G21 has been extended until 30th June 2020 while the review is undertaken. There are opportunities to strengthen the focus and commitment to this important prevention partnership.

The next G21 HWB Pillar Roundtable will be held in Colac on Tuesday 12th November with a focus on partnerships. Colac has a rich history of work in the health and wellbeing area with Deakin University researches, as well as the joined up focus of community organisations. This Roundtable will feature updates on new partnerships and the potential to increase reach.

G21 and Barwon Health will be holding a workshop with Dr Sarah White, CEO QUIT, on Thursday 28th November at the Geelong Cats Community Centre. This workshop is open to any organisation interested in understanding the impact smoking has on health and wellbeing as well as the most up to date preventive actions that can be implemented in a range of environments.
