Transport Asset Map
Jane Wager/Geraldine Zuniga-Brant provided an overview of the Transport Asset Map. The map is a living document and is a part of the larger transport connections project.
It encompasses Colac Otway, Surf Coast, Golden Plains and City of Greater Geelong/Borough of Queenscliffe/Barwon Health.
The Transport Asset Map is aimed at working people, with current transport options, and will be available on line in the near future.
The following recommendations were put forward:
- Jetstar and Sharp Airlines to be included as modes of transport on the map.
- Consideration of community events and linkages to such events.
Avalon Airport Rail Link project / Port and Environs Advisory Committee Report / National Airports Safeguarding Framework Agreement
Marianne Richards presented an update on the above three topics.
Roads Working Group Update
David Hannah advised the Pillar that a review of the G21 Road Transport Plan in currently taking place.
Changes will be made and an update will be presented to G21 Transport Pillar over the next three months.
There are 3800 km sealed and 2800 km unsealed roads in the G21 region (Municipal/not VicRoads), and there is a funding Gap of $11 million.
