Even after years of notice, the timely provision of infrastructure and services to meet the G21 region’s rapid population growth is proving a challenge for governments.

Victoria is now Australia’s fasted growing state.  Geelong is the state’s fastest growing region.  Currently 332,000 people live in the region.  That will climb to more than 430,000 people by 2036 and 500,000 by 2050.

Growth in our region is inevitable. Planning to meet that growth and minimise the impact on our environment and lifestyle is essential.
